ZVU Servis a.s. is a subsidiary company of ZVU a.s.
Thanks to its long tradition the trade mark ZVU is well-known in the Czech Republic as well as on the traditional export markets as a manufacturer of equipment for food and chemical industries, for ecology and energetics.
The company history goes back to 1869 when the First Czech joint stock engineering factory (První česká akciová strojírna) – Hradec Králové was founded on the premises of today’s industrial plants.
Throughout the years the company underwent a large number of partial organizational integrations, for example in 1921 it became a part of Škodovy závody, Plzeň (Škoda Works), and in 1965 it was integrated into the company Chepos, Brno. However, its main specialisation has always been manufacturing equipment for sugar factory, breweries, steam generators, gas factories and chemical plants.
In 1990’s the company underwent a radical change, which had been caused by a necessity to adapt the process manufacturing and human resources of the company to conditions of newly arising market economy. It led to a holding-type of a company - various production specialisations were concentrated in independent subsidiary firms with the aim to make all their activities and processes maximally effective.
At present besides the parent company ZVU a.s., members of the holding are subsidiary firms ZVU Servis a.s. and ZVU Engineering a.s., owned by 100 per cent.
